Lahore, December 04, 2015 (PPI-OT): The LCCI Senior Vice President Almas Hyder will perform as the Acting President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the absence of the LCCI President, who has left for India to attend an exhibition.
Mr. Almas Hyder has graduated from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore and is a member of the Institute of Engineers Pakistan. He also holds membership in Institute of Materials (London) and Society of Plastic Engineers (USA).
Mr. Almas Hyder has served as Chief Executive Officer Engineering Development Board and Government of Pakistan and has served many public organizations at senior positions as well. To his credit are the development of the ‘Engineering Vision 2012 for Pakistan’ and the establishment of TUSDEC (Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company) where he was the Founder Chairman under the Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives (MOIP). TUSDEC is working for upgradation of industrial technologies and development of related skills in Pakistan.
He was also the first President of Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate Board set up by the Government of Punjab to manage and upgrade the infrastructure of Kot Lakhpat Industrial Estate, Lahore. He is currently the Chairman of Synthetic Products Enterprises Limited and also serving as Chairman of Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC). Mr. Hyder is the Director of SPEL Technology Support (Private) Limited, EDAS Entrepreneurship Development and Advisory Services (Private) Limited, AJ Power (Private) Limited, and SPEL Pharmatec (Private) Limited. He is also the Director of Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) and Member Advanced Studies and Research Board University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
