Karachi, October 25, 2017 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that all resources will be provided to the officers to enhance their performance so that they may do their duties in more efficient way. This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Wednesday here in his office.
Secretary ET and NC Abdul Haleem Shaikh, Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and other officers also attended the meeting. While briefing the meeting DG Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui told that Sindh Finance Department had approved Rs. 18 millions for purchase of new vehicles for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and the purpose of buying these mobile pickups would not only improve the performance of the department but it would also help to eradicate the activities of the drug peddlers.
Provincial minister Mukesh Kumar added, ‘It is a matter of satisfaction that despite limited resources the ET and NC has done very well’. He asked the officers to concentrate on eradication of the drug peddlers as well as recovery of the taxes. He assured them that all possible efforts would be taken to provide them better facilities and monitoring system would be made more effective to check the performance of the officers.
