Islamabad, September 22, 2016 (PPI-OT):Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz has said that state-of-the-art new international airport is not only an essential requirement of the time but it will also serve as the future travelling needs in line with international standards.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said this while visiting New Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday. On this occasion Director General Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Air Marshal (retired) Asim Suleman briefed the Mayor about the development work being carried out at New International Airport.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz visited the construction work being carried out on different on different segments of New Islamabad International Airport and assured full cooperation of Metropolitan Corporation (MCI) and CDA to CAA in this regard. He said that Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif wants to make this new facility the most modern and state-of-the-art modern Airport equipped with all facilities.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that in line with directions of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, a shuttle service would be launched which would be operated from three most feasible points in Islamabad so that maximum people can avail this transport service.
He said that Planning Wing of CDA has started survey for the selection of three most suitable points which would be completed very soon. He said that those points will be selected where maximum number of the people could be facilitated. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz also visited Cargo offices, Terminal and runway and lauded the efforts made by the CAA for completion the project.
