Islamabad, April 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): The newly appointed Advisor on Finance, Shahid Amjad Chaudhry called on Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at the PM House this morning.
While talking to the Advisor Finance, the Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the newly appointed Advisor who is an experienced hand would be able to stabilize the economic situation in the country.
Mr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry informed the Prime Minister that as he viewed, the economic situation is manageable and his priority would be to bring in fiscal stability through efficiency and better administrative measures.
The Advisor also discussed his forthcoming visit to the US where he would hold meetings with the officials of the international Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other financial institutions.
The Advisor assured the Prime Minister that he would come up with new and imaginative ideas to address the issue of load-shedding without imposing additional burden on the common man. He said that a tight control on expenditures, plugging of loopholes and better utilization of resources would be his top most priority.
The Prime Minister expressed the hope that in the limited time which is at the disposal of the caretaker government, social sector, particularly education, would be prioritized so that the standard of living of people of Pakistan was improved.
