Karachi, April 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui said that phase-II of 3 kilometre long Clifton Beach Park will be completed by the end of this month with a cost of Rs70million. Completion of this park will add to the beauty of Clifton beach and provide another well standard and beautiful beach recreation to the people.
Reviewing the construction work of phase-II of the project where he was accompanied by the Director General Technical Services Niaz Ahmed Soomro, Senior Director Transport and Communication Muhammad Athar, Engineer Iftikharullah and other officers, he said the first phase of this project was already completed and now the work on the second phase underway rapidly and all measures were being taken to finish this work on time.
He said a good number of coconut palms will be planted in this park and a long wall being constructed as boundary wall alongside sea. High mask poles will be installed for lighting in the park and seasonal flowers and other saplings will be planted in the shrub nullah especially made for this purpose.
Administrator Karachi directed officers to ensure the completion of this project on time with better quality work. He said Clifton beach was providing best recreation for the citizens of Karachi and the people visiting the city from other cities of the country and from abroad.
