Karachi: Administrator Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed has said that cleanliness drive in city has reached into second phase in which another six towns were covered. City government was trying to control the breeding of dengue carrier mosquito and all this cleaning and fumigation in city was part of this.
He expressed these views while talking to media representatives during his visit o various towns on Wednesday. EDO Municipal Services Dr. Shoukat Zaman and concerned town administrator accompanied him on this occasion.
Administrator Mohammad Hussain Syed said that he had today visited major roads and corridors of city and in the next week he will inspect the cleanliness condition in the inner city areas and streets.
He said the town administration despite of having limited resources, had so far performed well, however, it was the basic responsibility of municipal organizations to carry on this work on a daily basis. Health department, Municipal Services department and town’s administration were jointly carrying out this job now to stop the breeding of dengue virus.
Administrator Karachi said that the municipal bodies were playing active role in the overall cleanliness and fumigation drive in city.
