Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation visits construction sites of Teen Hati, Dakhana Flyovers on Shahrah-e-Pakistan

Karachi, March 29, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that the measures for completing the construction works of Teen Hati Flyover and Dakhana Flyover have been taken and after construction of these flyovers this corridor which connects city would be made signal free which would not only improve traffic flow but also resolve old traffic jam problem.

He said this while visiting the construction sites of Teen Hati Flyover and Dakhana Flyover on Shahrah-e-Pakistan where he was accompanied by Director General Technical Services Altaf G. Memon, Project Directors, concerned engineers and other officers.

Administrator Karachi on this occasion inquired about the pace of construction works and issued necessary directives. He said that standard of material in construction should be considered so that these projects would be well-built and citizens could avail from them for a long time.

He said development projects were started in public interest therefore they should be completed in stipulated time and in this connection no negligence would be tolerated. On this occasion in a briefing Administrator Karachi was informed that this was considered that construction of these projects would not affect traffic flow and citizens could be prevented from difficulties.

Administrator Karachi said that Shahrah-e-Pakistan was an important and busy corridor connects inside roads due to which traffic pressure exist near four intersections on this corridor therefore it was necessary to resolve this issue and improve traffic flow.

After the construction of Corridor-V the traffic of Martin Road, Liaquatabad, Lasbella, PIB Colony, Nazimabad, Azizabad, Ancholi, Karimabad and traffic goes towards Superhighway would be facilitated whereas improvement plan for traffic under these flyovers have been prepared.

Administrator Karachi directed that all resources should be utilized for construction of these four flyovers on Shahrah-e-Pakistan and completed by 30th June. He also directed to plant more trees on Shahrah-e-Pakistan, S.M Taufeeq Road and Jahangir Road to make this corridor beautiful and attractive.
