Karachi, February 16, 2014 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui has said work on phase II of Zulfiqarabad Oil Tanker’s Parking Terminal was started after the completion of boundary wall around the terminal. Inner roads and floor work was underway speedily.
He said this on a detailed visit of Zulfiqarabad Oil Tanker’s Parking Terminal along with the Director General Engineering Department, Project Director and other officers.
Administrator Karachi expressed displeasure over shortage of labor working in the terminal and warned the contractor to increase number of labor at various works immediately. He said daily 250 to 300 labor must be seen working here and directed that the works of phase II and phase III should also be completed after completion of floor work.
He said there was no shortage of funds for this terminal and the contractor was also being paid with the bills on a regular basis. This project holds much importance for the city as after completion of this project oil tankers would shift to this terminal from Shireen Jinnah Colony. This would also solve the traffic related problems on different roads of Karachi.
