Karachi, December 17, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that the half population of Pakistan consist of women and if they were not provided with education and skills, our country and nation could not develop whereas its also fact that women had always performed a great role in education and constructive activities and they could surely help change the environment and circumstances through their research and dedication.
He expressed these views while addressing as a chief guest in Jinnah University for Women yesterday. He said that a pedestrian bridge in front of university gate would be built to facilitate students whereas metric board intersection would be renovated which had been constructed in such design that no vehicle could come from wrong side.
He said that girls had always had pride for nation and had significant status in every profession and now women had been working in every sector of life and its today’s requirement to provide them with opportunities in different sectors including government.
He also said that the wonderful and fascinating projects which had been made by the students of Jinnah University for Women show their interest, dedication and capabilities. He said if mother were educated, whole family would be educated therefore education was very important for girls.
Chancellor of Jinnah University Wajeeh-ud-din Ahmed also spoke on the occasion. Afterwards Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed admired the performance of students and distributed awards and certificates among them.
