Karachi, December 18, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that education and training play an important role in human capabilities and if government employees were provided with trainings, this would improve their performance in result of which they could serve citizens in a better way.
He said this while addressing as a chief guest at the end of one day training workshop in Qasr- e-Naz held on awareness of social media and communication resources under City Institute of Image Management.
On this occasion KMC Consultant Syed Nusrat Ali, Director CIIM Muhammad Shahid and other officials were present. Administrator Karachi said that the awareness of social communication in routine life was an important need of today’s era. Internet, cable and social web sites had brought revolution and whole world including our society was changing rapidly due to awareness of social communication.
He said the use of social media should proceed with complete responsibility and cautious behavior. Administrator Karachi said that social media had come forward as an important and effective source of expressing opinions and feelings whose importance was being felt in every sector of life however the positive and constructive use of it could resolve various problems and essential and precious information could be provided immediately whereas the departments associated with social services could serve citizens in a better way.
He urged KMC officers to be familiar with modern technologies through which they could improve the performance of their departments. He also said that KMC would continue providing its officers and employees with trainings of social media and information technology which was an important need of modern era. KMC Consultant Syed Nusrat Ali and Director CIIM Muhammad Shahid also spoke on the occasion. Afterwards Administrator Karachi distributed certificates among successful participants.
