Addressing pending issues a priority, says Minister for Industries

Islamabad, April 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh, Federal Minister for Industries and Production assumed the charge of his new responsibilities and received an introductory briefing about the working, issues and functions of the Ministry of Industries. This was also the first day of the new Secretary Zafar Mehmood in the Ministry of Industries.

During the briefing and talking to the media later, the minister said that his priority will be to address the pending issues in the ministry and complete the unfulfilled tasks. He said that during his short stay in the office he will endeavour to lay a solid foundation for the next elected government to build on. The minister emphasized that he will uphold merit and will ensure transparency in the affairs of the ministry and its attached departments.

Responding to a question, the minister said that media is the eyes and ears of the government and he will take swift action on the issues pointed out by the media. He assured that the nation will witness a positive change in the performance of Ministry of Industries in his tenure.
