Action against Illegal Hydrants: Chief Secretary Sindh presides meeting requires report on compliance of Court Orders

Karachi, December 04, 2017 (PPI-OT):Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon has advised the Administrative Secretaries and head of the attached departments to ensure the compliance of the Court’s Orders within the stimulated time, and submit reports to the concerned quarters including the Honourable Courts. He expressed these views, while presiding a review meeting, to this effect.

The meeting reviewed the measures regarding provision of clean potable water to the citizens, removal of encroachment, prevention of environmental pollution, arrangements for disposal of Hospital Waste, Sanitation and Solid Waste management.

Secretary Irrigation Jamal Mustafa Syed, Secretary Health Dr. Fazlullah Pechuho and Secretary Environment Baqaullah Unnar briefed the meeting regarding compliance of Court’s Orders. Managing Director KW and SB Hashim Raza Zaidi apprised that more than 90% illegal hydrants have been abolished, while rest are in process. DIG West Zulfiqar Larik informed the meeting that registration of FIRs and submission of Challans are regularly processed against the persons responsible for illegal hydrants.
