A three-day global interfaith conference concludes in Manama

A three-day global interfaith conference, titled ‘Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East and West for Human Coexistence’ concluded in Manama on Sunday.

Addressing the conference, the representatives of different faiths stressed upon the world powers to focus on the survival and security of human beings and resolve the issues through dialogue instead of the option of wars.

Pope Francis, Sheikh Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Interfaith Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Council of Islamic Ideology Chairman Dr. Qibla Ayaz attended the moot.

They emphasized Russia and Ukraine should stop the war and initiate the process of negotiation to settle all the issues.

Later, talking to the APP, Tahir Ashrafi lauded Bahrini leadership for the holding of the inter-faith moot so as to bring the people of various faiths closer by removing their differences.
