At least eight children were killed and four others injured on Thursday as the wall of a house collapsed in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, local media reported.
The deceased comprised six boys and two girls, all of whom were aged below 12.
Xinhua news agency reported the eight were declared dead upon admission to a nearby hospital. The injured were warded at the hospital with head and body injuries.
According to the reports, the children were playing in the vicinity of the wall when it fell on them in a village of Sukkur, a district of Sindh province.
Locals began rescue work as the area did not have official or private rescue service.
It is believed the weak wall collapsed when some of the children tried to scale the structure.
