7 proclaimed offenders arrested; 274 wine bottles and weapons seized by Islamabad Police

Islamabad, May 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Police have arrested ten outlaws including seven proclaimed offenders and recovered 274 wine bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

On a tip off, CIA police team nabbed Saiz Javed alias Babu from sector F-10/1 and recovered 274 wine bottles from him. Koral police arrested Raziq Sultan for having 30 bore pistol while Sihala police recovered 30 bore pistol from an accused Shaukat.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. In crackdown against absconders, Islamabad police nabbed seven proclaimed offenders and court absconders who were wanted to police for involvement in crime cases of heinous nature.

During general hold up, Islamabad police impounded 141 motorbikes, 11 vehicles while 18 professional beggars were also apprehended. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Ali Naikokara has directed all SHOs for effective steps to curb activities of criminal elements. He also asked for strict vigilance against suspects and enhanced patrolling measures in the city.
