Karachi, November 11, 2015 (PPI-OT):The MoU was signed, in the presence of Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Kamran Michael, with the leader of Chinese delegation Mr Wang Xiatao during a prestigious ceremony taken place at Gwadar Port. The agreement was signed for handing over 650 acres of land to the Chinese for development purpose.
While shedding light on the importance of the agreement, the Minister Kamran Michael said that Gwadar will become a Smart Port City in three years. He said that it will open up more job opportunities for the people of Gwadar and would reduce the prevailing poverty from the city. He said that this MoU is a first step towards a new journey of Pakistan China friendship and it will benefit both the countries in future.
