The State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said that four hundred seventy seven kilometer long new power transmission lines are being installed in the country at a cost of four billion rupees.
This he said while talking in an open kuchehry at WAPDA Ground Hyderabad on Wednesday.
He directed HESCO authorities to resolve all issues of consumers related to electricity bills.
Earlier, talking to media the state minister said that government of PML N has started mega projects of power generation while more power projects are in pipeline.
He said that this government provided electricity to one hundred and seven villages.
Abid Sher Ali said electricity was not produced during the periods of Pakistan Peoples Party and regime of General (Retd) Pervaiz Musharraf and due to their policies this country was pushed to darkness.
He further said that up to twenty-five thousand MW electricity would be shifted in national grid during the summer.
State minister also said that all the power plants running on oil would be closed till 2020.
