3 member World Bank mission calls on Sindh Minister for Live stock Fisheries and Environment

Karachi, November 23, 2017 (PPI-OT):A 3 member World Bank mission led by Mr. Guo Li called on Sindh Minister for Live stock Fisheries and Environment Muhammad Ali Malkani at his office here today. They remained with Minister Live stock for some time and discussed the matters of Sindh agriculture growth project livestock portion. The Minister while welcomed the mission and apprised the progress and activities taken so for under World Bank guidelines.

He said that through completion if the project milk and meat production will be enhanced and benefits goes to livestock growers of Sindh province by achieving targets of the project. Secretary Livestock Sohail Akbar shah also briefed them that the SAGP livestock will achieve the desired results as the positive steps taken in this regard including 9 CVD Laboratories, 54 veterinary hospitals set up and close coordination with the growers are the tasks of the deptt to increase the production of milk etc. besides production unit at Karachi which is state of art is also in completion process to boost the activities.

Head of mission Mr Guo Li shown satisfaction over the project targets and assured that till June 2918 it would be more funds and extend the project under policy guideline and achieved targets in time positively so that people of Sindh could get maximum benefits of the project in. positively manner and livestock sector will further boost up. He added. DG Livestock Akbar Soomro, Dr Fatah Muhammad Marri, Saifullah Khokhar and Ms. Rubina program manager WB Islamabad and other officials of livestock were also present.
