Islamabad, July 12, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry will host 26th CACCI Conference on October 3-5, 2012 in Kathmandu, Nepal while Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host 27th CACCI Conference on March 14-15, 2012 in Philippines city of Cebu.
This was decided in the Planning Committee Meeting of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) held in Cebu, Philippines, under the chair of Ambassador Benedicto Yujuico, President CACCI.
Mr. Tariq Sayeed, Vice President of CACCI and core member of the Planning Committee informed that the 26th CACCI conference will focus on the theme “A Vision for Shared Prosperity” and aims to provide a platform for CACCI members to share their ideas on how they can help their respective countries – and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole-in strengthening and spreading the benefits of regional cooperation while playing a substantial, constructive role in global economic leadership.
“Committee also decided to organized allied activities at this occasion including presentation of two CACCI Awards, namely, the 5th Local Chamber Awards and the 4th Asia-Pacific Young Entrepreneur Award in recognition of the outstanding achievement in promoting the industrial, commercial and social welfare of their respective communities and to recognize excellent young entrepreneurs in the Asia-Pacific rim who not only are successful in their business but also advocate corporate social responsibility for the good of their country,” said Mr. Sayeed and added that President CACCI will lead delegation to Mongolia, Myanmar, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan and attend the 8th China Jilin-Northwest Asia Investment and Trade Expo being organized by the Jilin Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on September 6-11, 2012 in Changchun City, Jilin Province.
The CACCI will also organize a six-day training program on “Chamber Operations Course” in Taipei to help member chambers to effectively play their role in promoting the interest of the business sector, contributing to the development of the local economy.
Mr. Tariq Sayeed invited the President CACCI and members of the Planning Committee to visit Pakistan. During course of discussion, he criticized the Visa of Policy of Philippines particularly for Pakistan, which caused low level of parti8cipation of CACCI Members from Pakistan Chapter. He requested the local authorities to intervene and seek flexible Visa policy for businessmen, enabling them to move freely, which will help promote business manifold.
Mr. Prudencio Gesta, President of Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted dinner in honour of the CACCI Planning Committee Meeting.
