24-hour CNG shutdown announced in Sindh and Balochistan

Karachi: In view of the continuing gas shortage and as per the recent ECC decision, it has been decided to shut down gas to the CNG stations in Karachi, interior Sindh and Balochistan for 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday, December 21 till 9 am on Thursday, December 22, 2011.

The decision to discontinue gas to the CNG stations on a periodic basis follows an extraordinarily low pressure situation that has badly affected overall gas supply in Karachi and interior Sindh.

SSGC realizes that while the customers are faced with an acute situation, the Company is taking all actions to ensure uninterrupted gas supply. In this regard, the management has requested all stakeholders to fully support the Company in handling low pressure situation more effectively.
