17-member foreign delegation visits Wafaqi Mohtasib

Islamabad, March 09, 2016 (PPI-OT):Federal Ombudsman was the only institution where the cases are decided within a period of 45 days, as a result it is enjoying a unique status in the line of world’s Ombudsmen institutions. This was apprised to a 17-member delegation of the ECO (Economic Cooperation Organization) Postal Staff College that visited Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat here on Wednesday.

Senior Advisors of Wafaqi Mohtasib Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, Hafiz Ahsan Ahmed Khokhar, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi and Abdul Hameed gave detailed presentations on the working, objectives, jurisdiction and achievements of Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat. The advisors told the ECO Postal Staff College delegation, currently on a visit to Pakistan, that due to the untiring efforts of Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan M. Salman Farooqui, the institution had earned a great respect and reputation.

They apprised that currently there was not even a single complaint, which was more than 60 days old, pending with the Mohtasib institution and thus its backlog was zero.
