Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Thursday apprehended 14 outlaws from various areas of the city involved in different crime cases and recovered 13 pistols, wine, drugs and looted items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On the special directions of SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik, Capital police have launched massive campaign to curb activities of anti-social elements and apprehended 14 outlaws only on Thursday.
Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Afzal, Ameer Umar and ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Golra police nabbed eight culprits namely Qazi Amin, Faryad, Zameen Zeb, Noor Ahmad, Muhammad Tariq, Habib Ullah, Muhammad Afzal, Bazed Khan and recovered 13 pistols of 30 bore, two guns of 12 bore and looted items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from them.
Sub-Inspector Arshad Ali from Shehzad Town police station recovered a 30 bore pistol and 180 gram heroin respectively from the culprits namely Badshah Khan and Muhammad Masood. ASI Abdul Hafiz of CIA police recovered 12 bore carbine with 3 bullets from Ghazanfar Ali during patrolling.
ASI Aurangzeb of Sihala police recovered two bottles of liquor from an accused Suni during patrolling while a thief identified as Roshan Ali was apprehended in possession of looted items worth Rs. 50,000.
SI Muhammad Abbas of Koral police arrested a culprit Bashir Ahmad and recovered 30 bore pistol with one bullet and 15 gram heroin from his possession. Further investigation is underway.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed to intensify vigilance against anti-social elements.
