Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested eleven outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered looted items worth Rs. 1.1 million, one car, 66 wine bottles, four pistols and drugs from their possession, a police spokesman said here Saturday.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Arshad Ahmed from Bhara Kau police nabbed a car lifter Saeed and recovered a stolen car LXN-729 which was stolen from Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi. ASI Muhammad Yousuf from Koral police station nabbed Shah Alam Khan for having six wine bottles while Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali from Kohsar police station nabbed Ehsan Masih for having 60 wine bottles.
Meanwhile, Margallah police nabbed a drug pusher Lal Badshah in possession of hashish while Shehzad town police apprehended Saleem for also having hashish. Sabzi Mandi, Margallah, Shehzad town and Nilore police station apprehended four accused Shehzad, Ahmed Khan, Sajjad Kamran and Sabir Hussain for having one 30 bore pistol each .
Ramna police nabbed a thief Kamran Majeed and recovered looted item from him. Police have registered the cases against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed to further enhance efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.
