PSQCA team visit at Naheed Super Market and Chase Up Departmental Store P.E.C.H.S., Karachi with Mobile Testing Laboratory

Karachi, August 10, 2017 (PPI-OT): On directives of Director General PSQCA Muhammad Khalid Saddiq Mobile Testing Lab Team raided Naheed Super Market and Chase Up Departmental Store P.E.C.H.S., Karachi on arrival at Naheed Super Market and Chase Up Departmental Store P.E.C.H.S., start checking collected 21, different brands various mandatory food items.

The Team head included Mr. Javaid Hussain Siddique, Dy. Director, Conformity Assessment South, and PSQCA some technical officers also the NGO-(CRPC) Representative Mr. Shakeel Baig at Naheed Super Market and Chase Up Departmental Store P.E.C.H.S., Karachi. Caught unregistered 03 food items, M/s Naheed Super Store Chilli Powder , M/s Matco Foods iodized salt, M/s Borges Agriculture, Sunflower Oil The other checked on spot and find fail are 1- Olivola Cooking Oil M/s. Paracha Textile Mills Ltd,2- Borges Sunflower Oil M/s Borges Agriculture PSQCA team tack issue notice on spot.

On the occasion Javaid Hussain Siddique Dy. Director said that we are working to consumer’s satisfaction and to prevent sub-standards and un-registered products from the markets and to advise manufacturers to get licence and registered with PSQCA. He said that Director General Muhammad Khalid Siddiq ordered to continue and expand its activities and this mobile testing laboratory will be rotated in all locations of the city to control the manufacture of substandard products.

Delay in releasing preliminary census data creating worries: Nawab Taimur Talpur

Karachi, August 09, 2017 (PPI-OT): Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Inter Provincial Coordination Nawab Taimoor Talpur has said that delay in release of preliminary census data causing worries among the people of smaller units of federation and asked the federal government to release data without further delay. Talking to journalists on Wednesday at his office, Nawab Taimur Talpur said that federal government failed to perform its constitutional responsibilities and merely paying attention on arrangements of political gatherings.

He said that after failure on National Finance Commission Award, distribution of water resources among the provinces, equal share of development schemes, federal government was using delaying tactics on releasing census preliminary data for unknown reasons. “This attitude of Federal Government of N-League towards smaller units of federation causing disappointment among the people and impression that Punjab was only Pakistan was gaining ground”, he added.

Bhagwandas Chawla Dialysis and Thalassemia centre to work soon: Mukesh Kumar Chawla

Karachi, August 09, 2017 (PPI-OT): Provincial minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that a state of art institution Bhagwandas Chawla Dialysis and Thalassemia centre at Civil Hospital Kandhkot district Kashmore will start functioning soon as the centre has got furniture, surgical and medical equipments from philanthropists and certain number of staff members have also been trained in Dialysis and Thalassemia from reputed institute Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS).

This he said while talking to various delegations here in his office today. He said that as many 1.3 millions people lived in district Kashmore and the proposed centre would provide better healthcare services to the people of district Kashmore and its adjoining areas.

Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla added, ‘ It is expected that more than 350 patients for dialysis and 250 patients for Thalassemia treatment while 2500 patients on OPD basis per month for kidney diseases may visit’. He hoped that with the functioning of the Dialysis and Thalassemia centre the people of the area would get high quality healthcare services in the area.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah visits German Naval Academy and German Submarine Naval Base

Islamabad, August 09, 2017 (PPI-OT): Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah is on an official visit to Germany. The Admiral visited German Naval Academy at Flensburg and German Submarine Naval Base at Eckernforde, Germany. Upon his arrival at German Naval Academy, Chief of the Naval Staff was received by Flotillen Admiral Kay-Achim Shonbach, Commandant German Naval Academy. Professional matters of mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting with Commander of the German Naval Academy.

Later, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah visited German Submarine Training Centre at German Submarine Naval Base Eckernforde. Upon his arrival, the Admiral was warmly welcomed by Frigatten Kapitan Lars Gosing, Head of Submarine Training Centre. Chief of the Naval Staff was given detailed briefings regarding Submarine Training Centre.

Subsequently, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah also visited German Submarine. During his visit onboard, the Naval Chief interacted with German Navy Submarine’s officers and men and lauded their operational competence. Recent visit of the Naval Chief will further enhance and expand defence ties between the two countries in general and navies in particular.

Sindh government allocated Rs600 million for development Malir

Karachi, August 09, 2017 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he has allocated Rs600 million for different development schemes for Malir and “I am ready to arrange more funds if the proposed schemes of water supply, road network and bridges are completed in time”. This he said while presiding over a meeting of elected representatives of Malir District. Those who attended the meeting include MNA Hakeem Baloch, MPAs Sajid Jokhio, Murtaza Baloch, Chairman Distt Council Salman Murad, Chairman DMC Malir Jan Mohammad Baloch, Abbas Talpur and others.

He said that he has allocated sufficient funds for Malir and envisaged a number of development schemes on which work would be started shortly. “Now the onus is on the elected representatives to give ownership to the works being carried out are to be started soon,” he said.

The chief minister said that he has visited different villages of Malir district a number of times. “This is why I have given special attention to the government hospitals to improve their health services,” he said and added the earlier in the Memon Goth hospitals doctors and nurses were reluctant to turn up on their duties are now when it has been given on Public Private Partnership it is working smoothly.

The elected representatives of Malir told the chief minister that various villages of the Malir areas need to be electrified and gasified. On this the chief minister said that he would talk to KE authorities to expedite village electrification in Malir. “In the first phase the village electrification in the pipe line would be completed and the new recommended villages would be taken up in latter,” he said.

Talking about gasification of the villages of Malir, the chief minister said that he was going to sing a new village gasification agreement with SSGC. “Under the new agreement a certain number of Malir would be gasified,” he assured them. He assured the participants of the meeting that the villages of the Malir would be provided water supply schemes through water board. “I know there is a large number of villages which have no water- it is on my priority to provide them with water,” he said.

Syed Murad Ali shah directed Chairmen District Council Karachi and DMC Malir to keep their respectives area neat and clean. “The government is providing you enough funds, therefore the public funds must be utilized in the interest of the people of the area,” he said. The chief minister said that he has personally witnessed the road infrastructure of the Malir district. “I would reconstruct the dilapidated roads,” he vowed.
