Sindh government is streamlining irrigation system in the province to utilize maximum water for irrigation of agricultural lands.
Our Karachi correspondent Altaf Pirzado reports that forty billion rupees have been allocated in the new provincial budget for this purpose.
He said main canals in the province will be lined at a cost of fifteen billion rupees.
Meanwhile, a project in cooperation with World Bank is also being worked out for strengthening flood embankments and construction of small dams in the province.
