Seven Station House Officers sacked over poor performance

Karachi, August 02, 2017 (PPI-OT):Police started action against police officers over their poor performance. Additional Inspector General Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo on Wednesday suspended seven Station House Officers (SHOs) of different police stations of the city over their bad performance and failure to control crimes.

According to a notification issued here, police officers who were suspended included SHO Liaquatabad police station Inspector Tariq Mehboob; SHO Sachal police station Inspector Nasir Afridi; SHO Preedy police station Inspector Aurangzaib Khatak; SHO Rislala police station Inspector Mashooq Ali Shah; SHO Saudabad police station Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ali; and SHO Mominabad police station Assistant Sub-Inspector Sabir Khattak. Besides, the former SHO Jamshed Quarter police station Inspector Inam Junejo was also suspended by the city police chief.

The SHOs have been suspended owing to their failure in controlling the crime within their respective jurisdictions, the notification reads. The suspended police officers are shifted to their respective zonal headquarters where they will have to attend daily roll call and parade. They have also been directed to draw their pay and allowances as admissible under law. It may be recalled that Thebo has recently took the charge of city police chief, replacing Mushtaq Mehar.
