Lahore, October 10, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 44900 cusecs and Outflows 70000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 6200 cusecs and Outflows 6200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 7200 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 16600 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 86900 cusecs and Outflows 79400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 73600 cusecs and Outflows 69600 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 72800 cusecs and Outflows 58800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 11500 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 59100 cusecs and Outflows 48500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 46800 cusecs and Outflows 10300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 10000 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1488.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.025 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1190.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.846MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.038 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
