Lahore, October 09, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 45900 cusecs and Outflows 70000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 6200 cusecs and Outflows 6200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 8600 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 18000 cusecs and Outflows 4000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 82200 cusecs and Outflows 74700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 70400 cusecs and Outflows 66400 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 72700 cusecs and Outflows 58800 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 11900 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 59300 cusecs and Outflows 46800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 47400 cusecs and Outflows 10300 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 10000 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1489.87 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.076 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1191.60 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.911 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.038 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
