Lahore, October 02, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 55800 cusecs and Outflows 85000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 6300 cusecs and Outflows 6300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 8300 cusecs and Outflows 55000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 19900 cusecs and Outflows 5000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 99700 cusecs and Outflows 92200 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 90100 cusecs and Outflows 90000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 87200 cusecs and Outflows 70400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 13000 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu: Inflows 69100 cusecs and Outflows 53100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 54900 cusecs and Outflows 11000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 17200 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1497.66 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.432 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1200.55 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 4.420MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 638.90feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.021 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
