Lahore, August 09, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 295300 cusecs and Outflows 266200 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 47000 cusecs and Outflows 47000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 27600 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 86200 cusecs and Outflows 63100 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 311800 cusecs and Outflows 303800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 299900 cusecs and Outflows 290600 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 310000 cusecs and Outflows 290000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 78800 cusecs and Outflows 63500 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 456500 cusecs and Outflows 423400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 303300 cusecs and Outflows 245600 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 127100 cusecs and Outflows 87000.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1543.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.774 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1231.35 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.573 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.073 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
