Lahore, August 07, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 295500 cusecs and Outflows 239000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 51300 cusecs and Outflows 51300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 27500 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 91300 cusecs and Outflows 68200 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 324400 cusecs and Outflows 316400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 347100 cusecs and Outflows 333700 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 424400 cusecs and Outflows 418400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 65500 cusecs and Outflows 50000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 345600 cusecs and Outflows 315000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 237400 cusecs and Outflows 181000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 127000 cusecs and Outflows 87000.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1541.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.659 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1230.40 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.499 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 644.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.115 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
