Lahore, August 04, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 339200 cusecs and Outflows 311600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 70500 cusecs and Outflows 70500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 41600 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 80500 cusecs and Outflows 68200 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 372300 cusecs and Outflows 364300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 427300 cusecs and Outflows 427700 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 374100 cusecs and Outflows 351600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 26700 cusecs and Outflows 11200 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 244800 cusecs and Outflows 210600 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 193600 cusecs and Outflows 138000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 118500 cusecs and Outflows 78800.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1535.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.328 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1228.75 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.376 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 645.50 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.154 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
