Lahore, August 01, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 322000 cusecs and Outflows 294400 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 54200 cusecs and Outflows 54200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 37900 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 122800 cusecs and Outflows 92800 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 316800 cusecs and Outflows 308800 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 318700 cusecs and Outflows 312200 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 275900 cusecs and Outflows 253600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 29200 cusecs and Outflows 14600 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 234400 cusecs and Outflows 200100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 199200 cusecs and Outflows 144100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 120600 cusecs and Outflows 82900.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1532.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.164 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1225.80 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.158 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.90 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.196 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
