Lahore, July 28, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 244000 cusecs and Outflows 217500 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 42000 cusecs and Outflows 42000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 41600 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 88800 cusecs and Outflows 56100 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 271400 cusecs and Outflows 263400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 291300 cusecs and Outflows 284900 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 269000 cusecs and Outflows 246700 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 40800 cusecs and Outflows 27000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 226400 cusecs and Outflows 194800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 189400 cusecs and Outflows 138000 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 85700 cusecs and Outflows 47300.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1528.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.949 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1223.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.952 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.50 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.264 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
