Lahore, July 26, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 253500 cusecs and Outflows 227000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 44200 cusecs and Outflows 44200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 32300 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 84200 cusecs and Outflows 51500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 280600 cusecs and Outflows 272600 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 287500 cusecs and Outflows 281000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 249100 cusecs and Outflows 227100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 57700 cusecs and Outflows 42900 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 228400 cusecs and Outflows 197500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 190100 cusecs and Outflows 139100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 83600 cusecs and Outflows 47300.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1526.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.844 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1221.55feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.845 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.50 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.264 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
