Lahore, July 24, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 255100 cusecs and Outflows 228600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 49200 cusecs and Outflows 49200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 37000 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 79600 cusecs and Outflows 46900 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 266100 cusecs and Outflows 258300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 266600 cusecs and Outflows 265000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 211000 cusecs and Outflows 189200 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 73100 cusecs and Outflows 59100 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 235400 cusecs and Outflows 207100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 156700 cusecs and Outflows 115200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 72300 cusecs and Outflows 51700.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1524.00 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 4.739 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1220.35 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.757 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 648.30 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.255 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
