Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, July 14, 2017 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 291800 cusecs and Outflows 143500 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 79900 cusecs and Outflows 79900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 52200 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 116700 cusecs and Outflows 83600 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 269000 cusecs and Outflows 261500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 266100 cusecs and Outflows 245000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 229700 cusecs and Outflows 202700 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 17500 cusecs and Outflows 2070 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 186200 cusecs and Outflows 151400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 134200 cusecs and Outflows 79500 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 43900 cusecs and Outflows 3200.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1496.80 maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.393 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1212.25 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.191 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.40 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.180 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
