National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat meets

Islamabad, July 24, 2017 (PPI-OT):Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Parliament House, Islamabad this Afternoon with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair. The Committee unanimously recommended that “The National Air Transportation Safety Board Bill, 2014 (moved by Dr. Nafisa Shah, MNA) may not be proceeded further for legislation.

The Committee expressed displeasure over the non-distribution of “Rashan” as Ramzan package during current year by Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and directed that stringent measures may be adopted to ensure the distribution of Ramzan Package to the needy people every year. The Committee further directed that PBM may give equal preference of all districts while providing financial assistance to the needy people as it had been observed that most of the beneficiaries belong to few districts.

The Committee also considered the Resolution regarding allocation of separate quota of employment for domicile holders of Islamabad (moved by Mr. Asad Umar, MNA) and deferred it till its next meeting for further discussion.

The meeting was attended by Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, MNA, Mr. Asad Umar, MNA, Mr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan, MNA, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA, , Moulvi Agha Muhammad, MNA, Sardar Mansab Ali Dogar, MNA, Ms. Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, MNA, Ms. Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, MNA, Ms. Parveen Masood Bhatti, MNA, Ms. Shehnaz Saleem, MNA, Ms. Nighat Parveen Mir, MNA, Ms. Farhana Qamar, MNA, Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, MNA and Shiekh Aftab Ahmed, Minister in Charge Cabinet Secretariat and senior officers of the concerned Ministries/departments.
