Karachi, July 28, 2016 (PPI-OT):KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said citizens of Karachi looks up to KMC for resolving their problems. KMC officers should therefore has the duty to provide better facilities to them by using their capabilities for the improvement and progress of the city. He expressed these views while addressing as chief guest in a ceremony held by the KMC Officers Welfare Association in the KMC Sports Complex. President Jamil Farooqui and General Secretary Bilal Manzar of KMCOWA also addressed the ceremony.
Members of the association in large number attended the program where various prizes besides an Umrah ticket were also given to the members through balloting. Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said all issues have to be resolved through mutual understanding and negotiations. Some of the KDA officers and staff indulged to improper behaviour when they forcefully obtained different offices of Civic Centre for their own use.
He said he himself wants to solve all such issues legally and that’s why no resistance was made by KMC at this attitude of KDA officers and staff. I have requested the provincial government to declare the transition period and stop these few retired people what they were doing in Civic Centre under the disguise of the Union.
Administrator Karachi said he wished that a transition committee comprising of sensible people should be nominated after declaring the transition period which could reinstate these two organizations as separate entities in a good manner and without any conflict. He said KMC officers should make sure that they are running their organization respectfully. We can perform well under difficult conditions and restore the trust of people of Karachi on us.
