Addis Ababa (IINA) � Wrapping up its works in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Tuesday, the 29th Summit of the African Union appreciated Sudan’s National Dialogue that resulted in the formation of a government of national unity and the appointment of a prime minister.
In its final communique, the African Union expressed appreciation of the ceasefire and peace agreement signed in Darfur by the United Nations and the AU Peace and Security Council in accordance with a decision to withdraw 50 percent of the UNAMID troops from Darfur.
Foreign Minister Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour indicated that the summit has provided a chance for Sudan’s Vice President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman to meet with a number of the African leaders to review the continent issues.
According to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), the vice president led the Sudanese delegation participating in the AU summit which concluded its activities in Addis Ababa and issued its decisions and recommendations on Tuesday.
